Here we go with another great custom web development project – in this case helping the SEO company Elevate Local turn their requirements for a very efficient project management application – to manage their rapidly growing company – into reality!
As you can see we have all the necessary ingredients for success – coffee, lots of coloured pens, an information architect and a customer ( Sam ) who knows the business problem they are facing.
This is the first workshop – so we are going over the specifications and general requirements, making sure we are in the mind of the customer and can really understand what business problem we are solving, and how the solution will improve their work.
This already has some very interesting aspects :
– Sam requires that Elevate Local completely own the code – so this is totally bespoke
– Customer does not even need the Claromentis Framework, they would rather that the application is self contained, and can leverage their upcoming migration from Office 365 and Dropbox to Google applications and Google Drive
In this case we are purely providing the rapid prototype, together with some Photoshop design. The team at Elevate Local have all the development skills to turn the prototype to functional code – this is quite unusual for Claromentis – but perfectly acceptable and will even provide some advantages for the customer because requirements evolve and they will not have to come back to Claromentis to deploy later versions of the system.
In my view the first workshop is energizing and refreshing, partly because as the account manager I just make the coffee.
